A Night with Footy Royalty @ BLJFC

Our main fundraising night at the Clubrooms on June 15 was a tremendous success, with more than 80 members, supporters and guests in attendance enjoying a memorable evening of football, entertainment and community spirit.

Before the event commenced, AFL coaching and playing legend Mick Malthouse generously spent time with our Year 11 and 12 boys playing group. The boys had a unique opportunity to hear firsthand from one of the game’s most respected figures, gaining valuable insights into football, leadership, preparation, and what it takes to perform at the highest level.

As the evening unfolded, Mick was joined by West Coast Eagles Club Champion, Glen Jakovich, and together they captivated the audience with fascinating stories from their football journeys. There were plenty of laughs, great memories shared and engaging discussion about the game we all love. There was even an ‘open mic’ session where guests were able to asked Mick questions – and no topic was off limits! The atmosphere throughout the night was fantastic, with everyone enjoying the chance to hear from two of football’s most respected personalities in a relaxed and entertaining setting.

The event was not only a successful fundraiser but also a wonderful opportunity to bring our club community together. A huge thank you to Mick Malthouse and Glen Jakovich for their willingness to share their experiences and to everyone who attended and contributed to making the evening such a memorable and successful occasion.
