Family Day March 2025
What a resounding success for our first Senior and Junior combined event. The community of Bullcreek Leeming Football Club and surrounds certainly came together down at the clubrooms on Saturday to enjoy some friendly footy, fun and entertainment on what was a perfect sunny day.
Highlights included the huge double water slide, live music by Julius Lutero, face painting, a collection of food line ups, but most of all the football matches. The laughter and sheer joy on all the kids faces to be able to have a kick with parents and some of the Ammo’s was wonderful to see. And to top it off, watching some of the ol’ boys dust off those boots and get their ‘game on’ against the Ammo boys was certainly a highlight. I think they amazed not only us, but themselves with the agility and skill they still have. I’m sure there were a few sore joints after the game, but this only made the cold beverages taste even better.
Our first ever Family Day was all about bringing people together, to celebrate what community is all about. And we certainly did that. We are incredibly grateful to all the volunteers who helped set up, pack down and run around during the day, whether it be selling raffle tickets, or working behind the bar/canteen. But most definitely, to all our sponsors and attendees who helped make this day such a success. This event truly highlights the power of community and we hope you all had a fabulous day. Who knows, it may become an annual event and we can look forward to bigger and better next year.
