PLAY IN PURPLE 2024

#Playinpurple is a national pancreatic cancer awareness campaign that has been embraced by BLJFC for the past 3 years. In conjunction with raffles, stalls and goodies, the players simply swap club socks for Pankind Foundation purple socks on the last weekend in July.

By doing this, our players, sponsors and supporters have helped to fund vital research into pancreatic cancer whilst also raising awareness that a healthy lifestyle, exercise and social connection can all reduce the risk of cancer.

It was a huge few days of fundraising and a fantastic turnout once more, even with the weather! As always, all the kids did us proud wearing their socks. Our footy fields definitely turned purple in support of Pankind.

With the generous support from everyone, we raised over $15,000 in 2024! Which in turn puts us close to raising nearly $40,000 for Pankind in the past 3 years alone. A truly inspiring achievement.

Once again, thankyou to everyone who jumped on board the purple freight train that #playinpurple is becoming and helping us make this a true community fundraising event.
