President’s Report

To all club members, I’m pleased to announce that the Bullcreek Leeming Junior Football Club has had another very successful year on and off the field in 2025 and the club continued to operate in a healthy and sustainable financial position.

First and foremost, I would like to thank our committee members, coaches, managers, and game day volunteers who offered their time and support week in and week out throughout the season. Without this tremendous support, match days and club events wouldn’t run as smoothly as they have and make for a better experience for all our members.

Our club has again made significant investments into the football club this year. We replaced ninety percent of existing training balls and equipment, contributed further to club upgrade design, multiple new ipads that required updating, further upgrades and ongoing maintenance of our website, and the largest spend being on twenty sets of indigenous jumpers to be utilized for NAIDOC rounds and clash games in the future.

Our pursuit of new facilities continued and resulted with both the Senior and Junior clubs securing $4.95M of election grants. Although the commencement of the new build is likely pushed back until the completion of football season 2026, it has given us the opportunity to almost complete the final design and be ready for City of Melville to roll into the procurement phase. I would like to acknowledge the huge effort of Adrian Lacqueire from the Senior Club as he has been the driving force behind the project.

We held a couple of different fundraising events across the season, being a new format of a pre-season Family Day held in conjunction with the Senior Club, and a Junior Club designed label gin fundraiser. Our club also got behind raising awareness of Pancreatic Cancer with our #playinpurple weekend, which unfortunately sore torrential rain both days but was still well supported.

On the football front, once again we’ve been able to field teams in every age group in the male competition and continued our strong growth in our female football being able to field 2 straight age teams in the 7/8 year group. In total we had 408 players registered in the age groups from Year 3-12, being 114 female players and 294 male players. Our player retention remained very strong in 2025 and very strong numbers in our Auskick program suggest this will continue into 2026.

I have attended a lot of games this year and can say across the board the overall behavior and gameday environment was of a very high level. This is a credit to our fantastic coaches and managers that drive these core values of the club. It was reflected by the absolute minimal number of gameday discipline actions received from WA Football.

Our strong focus at the club is for our kids to enjoy their football and participate in win, lose, or draw. However, I would like to acknowledge several of our teams that at the time of writing this report are representing the club in finals for the 2025 season, being year 8, 9, 10 boys and 9/10 girls. As we wish these teams the best of luck in their finals campaign, I would also like to thank all our other teams who participated through the season, playing with their mates, and doing so with good spirits.

Finally, I would like to thank all our sponsors who were onboard for season 2025, in particular Matt and Emma Jacka from WA HVAC who came onboard as the club major sponsor.  Our sponsors are invaluable to the club, and I encourage our members and their families to utilize them where possible and when you do let them know you’re from the Bullcreek Leeming Junior Football Club to assist in maintaining these great relationships.
