Traditional smoking ceremony and acknowledgment of country
Naidoc Round 2025
On behalf of the club, we’d like to thank everyone; players, families, coaches, volunteers and supporters, for coming together to celebrate NAIDOC Round on the weekend of 26 + 27th July.
This round was about more than just football. It was a chance to recognise and honour the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We’re proud to be part of a community that shows respect and embraces the spirit of reconciliation.
This was a very special round for our club, as we were honoured to unveil our inaugural NAIDOC Round Jumpers, designed by well respected Kalgoorlie indigenous artist Danielle Champion. We incorporated a traditional smoking ceremony before the round and also an acknowledge of country.
This event was more than just the footy jumper, it was a celebration of culture and the next generation of proud, respectful and inclusive footballers at our club.
