Welcome to the Bullcreek Leeming Junior Football Club

Our Club is a not-for-profit junior football club based in Leeming, in Perth’s southern suburbs. The Club was established in 1977 and will be celebrating our 50th in 2027. We have around 500 members, fielding teams in each age group from Auskick through to Year 12’s, for kids aged 5 to 17. With 25 teams including 3 female squads and Auskick.

Our home grounds are at Beasley and Peter Ellis Reserve in Leeming, with our clubrooms located at Beasley Reserve which in 2023 has just recently installed game day lights to give the teams more opportunities for night games.

We have a proud and successful on-field history, regularly adding premierships across many age groups and can boast two Brownlow medalists in Simon Black and Ben Cousins, plus a growing number of other AFL/WAFL players originating from our Club, including most recently 2021 AFL Melbourne Football Club Premiership players Luke Jackson and Trent Rivers as well as AFLW players Beatrice Devlyn and Gabby O’Sullivan.

In 2024 our Club was awarded the Western Australian Metro South District Junior Club of the Year, as well as our Club registrar taking home the Volunteer of the year Award. Congratulations also to our Female coach of the year award winner Natalie Williams.

As Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons sang … ‘Oh what a night!’

As individuals and also as a collective group, everyone at Bullcreek Leeming JFC can be proud of the recognition bestowed upon us at the Inaugural WA Community Football Awards held at the Convention Centre Saturday night. With around 1000 people in attendance, the WA Football Commission Inc, held it’s first ever awards night, showcasing what community football is all about. All made possible because of the thousands of inspirational volunteers, administrators, coaches and referees at our football clubs who dedicate their time to the sport.

We walked away with some fantastic individual achievements on the night and a huge congratulations to our winners:

Natalie Williams (Year 5/6 Girls Coach) – Metro South Female Coach of the Year, East Fremantle District

Richard Jarvis – Metro South Volunteer of the Year, East Fremantle District

Isaac Pavy – East Fremantle Umpires Community Engagement Award

Jeff Singleton – BLJFC Club Person of the Year 2024

And to top of the night on a high, BULLCREEK LEEMING JFC took out the prestigious Metro South Junior Club of the Year East Fremantle District award!

Unleash the Excitement: Auskick AFL Program Ignites Young Footballers in Australia!

Auskick, the AFL program in Australia, is a whirlwind of excitement for young sports enthusiasts. Kids gather on grassy fields, perfecting their kicks, handballs, and marks with contagious laughter and camaraderie. It's where memories are made, skills are honed, and a lifelong love for Australian rules football begins.

We saw another year of growth in our popular and highly regarded Auskick program in 2024 with 138 boys and girls participating in our educational, inclusive and fun filled program.

In great signs for the future of the club, our Pre-Primary cohort was the largest, with 50 kids starting their football journeys with BLJFC. In Year 1, we had 42 registrations, and, in their final year of Auskick, we had 46 Year 2s complete our program. These numbers are incredibly strong, particularly for a club in an older, established area, and had us as one of the East Fremantle Districts Top 3 clubs from an Auskick participation perspective. This is a phenomenal result and speaks volumes of our Auskick community’s ongoing endorsement and support of how we run the program at our club.

To our Pre-Primary and Year 1 groups, the club looks forward to welcoming you back in 2025 as the Auskick journey continues. To our Year 2 players and families, congratulations on completing the Auskick program and best wishes for the move into junior football.

GIRLS FOOTBALL

2024 Premiership Winning Teams

A huge congratulations to our 2024 Premiership winning teams, Year 11/12 Girls Bulls & Year 9/10 Girls Bulls on their incredible victories. Your dedication, hard work and spirit throughout the year has paid off in the ultimate prize.

Both teams showed collective teamwork throughout their matches and you have certainly earned this premiership victory. Congratulations.

Also, congratulations to our runner up teams – Year 7 Boys Bulls & Year 7/8 Girls Bulls. While it may not be the result you had all worked so hard for, your accomplishment is still huge. You have laid a solid foundation for season 2025 and we have no doubt you will come back bigger and stronger next year.

BLJFC First-Ever Girls’ Derby

BLJFC first-ever girls’ derby at a club was a significant milestone, showcasing the growth of the girls participation at our club. It was a thrilling match, full of energy and passion as the players took the field for the first time in such a competition.

All the girls on the field were focused, determined and gave it their all. The skills they all displayed were impressive, but it was the heart and passion that each player bought to the game that outshone all else.

Whether it was a crunching tackle, a skilful pass or just the sheer energy and determination of each player, every moment was a reminder of how far the AFLW has come at our proud club.

When the siren sounded at the end of the game, it was a moment of pride on both sides that they had been a part of something truly wonderful at BLJFC and that this marked the beginning of a new chapter at our club and growing history.
